Lake Anna info needed

This labor day, I will be visiting friends in Spotsylvania. I will be bringing my skis
from Georgia. We are planning to spend time at Lake Anna.( They have never ridden
a ski) Can anyone give me any info on good places to park and launch, hopefully by
a good beach area to anchor the skis. Looks like a nice lake to ride.

Thanks!
Russ

We launch at the route 208 bridge. We rent a house for the week so we just use that beach but there is a nice state park there. looks nice and sandy, I would imagine they have bathrooms and all that. Very nice lake you guys will have a ball. Here are a few links.

Sturgeon Creek Marina has a nice PWC only area to pull up to and hang out. They have restrooms and a nice store. There is a cool restuarant on the creek on the was in on the right. It's up on the hill just up the creek from Lake Anna Marina. You can search Sturgeon Creek Marina under Spottsylvania county Va. and it will come up on a map search engine. I'll be htere this weekend, not sure what days yet, but will probably be out on the pontoon with the family and kids. There is also a set of nice islands directly across from the power plant. There is a place called the sandbar where a bunch of folks hang out. It is just that, a big sandbar where you can pull up. Look for the volleyball net in the water all the way in the back of the big cove past the islands. The weather right now is looking really good, mid 80's and sunny all 3 days.

Re: Lake Anna info needed

Had a great time! The beach was crowded, but we had a nice place to set up.
We rode all day Saturday and spent all day Sunday doing the historical tours of
Fredrecksburg. We were all too sore to ride again on Monday
