Wow, too bad I missed your post last night. I rode the entire length of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel today--out and back. Took a little break at Kiptopeke State Park on the eastern shore and took pics of the "concrete ships" they have "parked" by the boat ramp .

Little late gettin' back atcha. Been out of town. Sittin' in DFW right now. If I don't get back too late tonight and the marine/weather report for tomorrow looks pretty good I might be interested in headin' out. Where do you launch? BTW, I did the ride solo and my ski is a Honda.

Re: Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel

Made last years Orgeon Inlet challenge and had a blast. I have been passing the word myself.. I wish I could make it this year, but as of now, I am heading up to Maryland for the Buddscreek Motocross that day... I hate it, but maybe I will get luck and there will be a reschedule...

Here's some pics of these "concrete ships" (nine of 'em) at Kiptopeke State Park (VA). Not sure what to make of 'em. Apparently they're real ships that were sunk to form a breakwater. Why they seem to be made out of concrete and rebar is beyond me. If anyone's interested in an overhead satellite view enter N 37.16569 W 75.99278 into google earth and zoom in.

Got your message about not being able to head out today. Let me know if you wanna try again later this week. Have you guys ever rode out to the Chesapeake Light Tower?
