Havasu to Laughlin/BHC on Jetski-Anyone done it?

I was just wondering if it would be possible to ski from Havasu to Laughlin/BHC. I know the river goes all the way up there, but I mean more like...since it's ~60 each way, how/where would you fill up? How long might it take? Anyone done it? What was it like?

I am just wondering if our skis are running on premix, how do you refill at these gas stations?

I did it on a fourth of july weekend a few years back. On seadoos, There is a gas station at the gorge and one in a marina maybe 5 miles upriver from it.
Dont think a standup would make it, as far as premixin goes. The gorge is awesome scenery. Good luck.

you would probably have to have a boat follow you with a gas can or something..

Done it! From laughlin to havasu and then back in 5 hrs. It would have been faster if we didn't make a few stops. First stop, Avi Hotel for gas. Then Topock - for further fueling. Then Havasu, pass the London Bridge - gas up at the Marina. It was a very exhausting yet fulfilling experience. Considering I was riding with a passenger behind me on a Tigershark (yah I know - I was newbie and I didn't know any better). But had a lot of fun - sure there were blisters everywhere especially my b$tt because it was a rough ride. The river was smooth but the ski was horrendous. I did it again the 2nd time on a Yamaha GP1300 - by myself this time with other group of people and it was a lot smoother ride but I don't remember how long it took because it was so hot that we made many stops to take a dip. I urge you to do it but be careful on the shallow waters especially just pass Avi Hotel there are few shallow spots that could damage your ski if it sucks some rocks. Enjoy and Goodluck!

Re: Havasu to Laughlin/BHC on Jetski-Anyone done it?

Thanks, I normally ride from the bottom of Davis Damp straight to AVI Casino, and my Superjet can make it there but not back without refuel. My SJ has a dual 44mm Red Top carbs so it is very thirsty. We had a 1997 Waveventure coming along with us so I can carry an extra five gallons of premix fuel in the compartment under the seat using a standard gas container. Although my STX-15F has a longer range, it has very limited storage compartment under the seat. It's interesting to plan for a trip on standup from Laughlin to Havasu without a support boat.

Done it. It's fun and beautiful. Pack a lunch though. I left from Site 6 on a SeaDoo XP and my buddy on a Kawi 650 sx. You need to fill up in Topoc or Avi. I will do it again next time I'm down there.
