Pensacola

I recently bought a couple of honda's and was wondering where some good places to ride. I would also like some idea of the ramp closest to the gulf.

Re: Pensacola

I have launched at the 3 mile bridge in Gulf Breeze (I think you have to pay though). If it's not too far from you, Navarre Beach has an excellent boat ramp and it's not too crowded over there. There's also a boat ramp in Bayou Texar. It's in a neighborhood right off 9th Ave. Take Mallory St. east until it ends---plenty of parking and the ramp is free. It takes you right out into the bay with easy access to Ft. Pickens/NAS/Perdido/Pensacola Beach. You can see it on Google satellite images. There's also a small free ramp with limited parking at Garcon Pt. right before you get on the bridge to go south. Here's a link that's pretty helpful in finding Gulf Coast Ramps.

Not many decent places on the AL side. Cotton Bayou in Orange Beach is awful. VERY limited parking, ramp is free but crowded, etc. It sucks.

Re: Pensacola

I agree on Cotton Bayou. they will also tow you if your not properly parked there. used to have to launch boats there and parking sucked.
