New to PWCToday and to PWCing

Hello to all.
I have been checking out the site. I was drawn here because I googled in. I wanted to know if there where many people who fished from their PWC.
I have a small house up in Lilburn, Georgia and my covenant restricts me from parking a boat out on my driveway. A boat and trailer will not fit in my garage, so I was thinking of setting up a couple PWC for fishing.
I would love to rent a boat, but really want the freedom to go when I want and come back when I want... (prior to it being dark out of course, meaning during legal riding hours). I know some states do not allow fishing from a PWC, while in other states, it is a gray area that is not really covered.
I am still researching this before I go all out. I already know the PWC I want. I am thinking about getting a pair of Yamaha Waverunners. As far as how I am going to tow it to Panama City, Destin or Pensocola, that has yet to be determined. I have got a four wheel drive vehicle, but it is not set to tow.
Still, a lot of things to work out and a lot of things to discover. I will probably go down a few times to the nothern Gulf area and ride a few times before I actually buy.
You guys may see me down in the gulf in about a year or so. hehehehe

Re: New to PWCToday and to PWCing

Hi Tots and welcome to the site!

Many folks fish from their pwc with great success. I just spent the weekend camping on a private beach north of Santa Barbara, CA with a large group of friends, and besides surf riding, towing in with the pwc, and running buoys, folks also used the wave runners to fish and dive from with great success.

You may want to check out www.watercraftworld.com as they've done a story or two on using pwc as a fishing platform. I think one was in your neck of the woods, I know one was in Floriday and I believe yet another covered folks in Alaska using the skis to fish from. They're so stable now you can easily use them. They also make excellent rescue platforms....they do it all.

Again, welcome to the site, and let us know if you have any questions or need assistance,
