Re: my ski

What is worse than waiting on parts is when they are lost while shipping. I bought an intake duct and grate for me '94 Raider two weeks ago. Fedex scanned them in Orlando but tracking shows it never left. They are looking for it but I have little hopes that they will finding it. Chris at Ride On in Destin says he has what I need so hopefully Tuesday I will be able to have this thing back together.

Yes, I would like to join you guys. I also have a friend who has a '90 SJ. He is on this forum, but just hasn't posted in our local forum yet. I am pretty sure he would like to join as well.

!!!!! I am not having luck with this ski! The first intake duct gets lost in shipping. I go to Destin to pick up another. After spending 5 hours worthing of driving and waiting, I get home to find out that first of all, it is cracked and then second of all that the duct isnt even for my ski. I noticed it had 6 bolts on the back for the grate and mine had 4. He said it would work. Find out that it is for a 155mm pump and not my 144mm pump. So now I get to drive back to Destin on Thursday to get this one swapped out. Maybe one day I will have this ski running again.

Dang man. When stuff like this happens to me, I always say, "you live, you learn" and it doesn't happen again. I have a Waverunner III that you can pull things from if you need to. I'm by West Florida Hospital.

Re: my ski

Well, just got back from try number two with Chris of Ride On Motorsports. No go. We were supposed to meet up yesterday as we agreed on Wednesday. I was pulling out of my neighborhood and gave him a call before I fully committed to the hour and a half drive. He tells me it is his son's birthday and he can't meet me. He should of told me this on Tuesday or Wednesday. So we agree that I meet him at 7am this morning. I got stuck in traffic for two hours on 98 due to a wreck. I called him around 8:30 as I was running really late and I knew he had work at 9. We agreed that he would leave it outside the door of this shop. I get there 10-20 minutes later and there is nothing outside the door. I call him and he says someone must of stolen them. I am calling BS as the time frame was really short and there are two other skis with a few parts sitting outside. I think he is just giving me the run around. I asked if he would just give me my money back since I dont want to waste a third trip to get the part. He does not want to. Says he is out parts too. So I guess I can try to take him to small claims court.

gimmick, are you the guy that is helping Jim with his SJ? Would that WR III have a duct and grate that would work on my Raider? I live really close to you, off of Scenic near Ellison Industrial. Thank you.

EDIT: if the duct and grate from the WR III doesn't fit a 701 Raider, anyone know of anyone else local with one? Thanx.
