NJ Performance Powerboat Cub PWC Poker Run in New Jersey July 14th!

Last year we tried our luck with our very first NJPPC Waver Runner Poker Run! We had about 28 members sign up and we had a blast!

A lot of NJPPC members get up early on weekend mornings to enjoy the flat water of Barnegat Bay and or go to breakfast in Seaside Heights by ski.

This year we will be having 2 Wave Runner Poker Runs! The first one will be on Saturday July 14th and the second will be Saturday September 1st.

The event will be early and simple so that we can all enjoy our Saturdays with our families and friends. The Poker Runs will start at 8:15am and end at 11am. The event will cover enough water to make it fun but yet not long enough to worry about fuel concerns.

You will need to be a member of NJPPC to participate. If you are not currently a member, you will need to purchase a Social / Wave Runner membership for $35.00.

If you have a ski or jet boat we hope you decide to join us, you will not be disappointed.

I'm not sure if this is a dumb question, but can we participate with a passenger on the ski? This sounds like a fun event to bring a date!

Congrats to Dr. Gabe Jasper & Don Mion - NJPPC Wave Runner Poker Run Winners!

This past weekend the weather gods smiled down on us again! Saturday morning we had a total of 32 Wave Runners and 1 Jet Boat meet at the mouth of Kettle Creek @ 8am for the NJPPC Wave Runner Poker Run. The event turned out to be a family affair as several members brought their wives, kids and even close family friends.

There was no wind which meant that Barnegat Bay was as flat as a mirror! We took off at 8:15am and headed to 3 card stops that included NJPPC member's house Pete Mazzo, NJPPC member Ray Patnaude who was anchored off of the Seaside Municpal Pier and lastly NJPPC President's 36 Concept comandiered by Pete Mazzo along with his daughter Jillian and her 6 girlfriends!!! Onboard was also Rick Kennard of MONOC who provided medical support if we needed it.

After all 3 card stops we ventured down the Toms River to the Lobster Shanty for a great brekfast and the opening of the cards. When it was all said and done, we had 2 "father / son" teams as winners!!!

1st Place was Dr. Gabe Jasper and his son Philip with a Flush (2 Aces High)
2nd Place was Gabe's friend Dan Mion with his son Christopher also with a Flush! (1 Ace High)

Attending the event was a wide assortment of wave runners including Patrick "that boy ain't right" Romeo with a Ski that had what sounded like a Mercury Racing 1075hp engine stuffed in there. That ski BOOGIED up to 75mph!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!
