Cape May Riding?

I am staying at the Beachcomber Campsite in Cape May July 10-13 and was wondering if it was worth bringing the jetski along to ride from NY. If so where are the good places to launch and ride? How much to launch?

Re: Cape May Riding?

Launch is free.. Bring your ski down I'll go riding with ya. There are plenty of places to ride inland as well as go through the canal and out to the bay or you can go out the inlet and into the ocean.

There are a few spots people hang out and ride like sunset lake and champagne island. Lots of people, good times.

Let me know if you are gonna bring your ski, we'll have to get together

Re: Cape May Riding?

That is right and it is pretty strictly enforced I believe; treemoney was mistaken about the canal, you have to go out the inlet into the ocean and ride around to get to the Delaware Bay.

Re: Cape May Riding?

The signs that used to be posted on both ends of the canal are gone. (It's not posted ANYWHERE that skis aren't allowed in the canal). From what I understand, as of July 1, 2007 the canal is open to pwc. Do some research online and see what you find, I looked for concrete evidence of this and can't find anything, but I do know for a fact that the signs are gone and I go through there regularly on my gpr.

Re: Cape May Riding?

Very interesting. I sent an email to the NJ marine authorities using an address on their website asking about the situation, will report if I hear back!

Re: Cape May Riding?

Definitely not the PP canal.
