New X-Metal scupper and front foothold.

Brand new clear anodized X-Metal scupper valve and Highroller Customs front foothold.
My new hull has a one way and a custom front foothold so I have no use for these. PM me if you are interested in one or both.

I have only ridden it in the surf and didn't even get to put much time on it down there due to my motor not liking saltwater soooo I will let you know once the season begins
It is a little lighter than an oem hull, nothing crazy but the way it is designed it fells lighter in the water.

What do you mean your motor didn't like salt water?

Got my ski all together, ran fine on the stand. Put it in the water it sputtered around for a couple minutes then shut down. Couldn't get it to fire back up, found no spark. Tried it again the next day, good spark, runs fine on the stand. Talked to some surf riders and bought some CRC silicone spray, siliconed everything and it ran fine. Ran good for one day then my homemade aluminum coupler cover broke. Tried to makeshift a new one but it didn't work so hot, everytime I got rocked by a wave and got a couple inches of water in it my coupler proceded to spray it everywhere and choked the carbs or got on whatever electrical component was giving me troubles in the first place and it would stall. Started right up again but I got sick of messing with it. My electrical is in nearly perfect condition, no spliced wires no brittle or frayed wires, salt water can be a beotch. And I have to make a new coupler cover and my bilge pump took a crap.

Re: New X-Metal scupper and front foothold.

is it the salty air that makes connections go goofy? or do the problems come on once water sloshes around inside?

it sounds like a lot of freshwater guys had the same problems

It's totally the water, get a bit sloshing around in the hull or hitting the coupler and misting everything and you're gonna have problems. I was spoiled I think by the Texas ride because I didn't have one bit of trouble. I remember Scott injested a little water and his ski would not run, just kills the spark at the plug. New plugs and you're ready to go, it's not like freshwater where you just pump a bunch of water out if the cylinders, fire it up and burn the moisture off the plugs and ride. You gotta get the motor dry before it will run.
LOTS of freshwater guys have the same problem, there where soooo many people working on their skis in Daytona.
