Late March ocean rode trip...who wants to?

Want to plan a trip last week or march/first week of april down to FL and ride in a couple spots, mostly Sebastian Inlet.

I know Charles is in for sure and have a few other "maybe" answers.

Anyone down??

Yea in my experience there isn't **** on Gulf side. Like nothing at all. If you want waves you'll have to hit the atlantic.

Looks like we are shooting to head down March 28th thru April 4th give or take a few days on either end.

Alright hmm. Keeping options open here and throwing around ideas... What are you thinking sxr forever 4 people per rig? Split the gas/hotel room.

Almost forgot. Your helmet cam in the 2008 video looked pretty clear. I have a helmet already what do you recommend for a cam?

Re: Late March ocean rode trip...who wants to?

Still lookin into everything. Depending on size of vehicals people have etc. There is alot of "maybe's" out there so next weekend I plan on knocking out alot of the details and hopefully people can give me a closer to yes or no answer.

Splitting gas and hotel will for sure be the thing to do. I have one trailer for sure we can use (my dad's flat car trailer) that can fit probably 5-6 standups. Also may have a big enclosed trailer someone has as well. Depending on what people want to do as far as whether we just go straight to Sebby or run the coast line down will depend on hotels. There is a Days Inn in Sebastian as well as a few other hotels.

I'm actually going to sell the helmet cam I used in those videos if your interested, 560 line bullet cam with DVR and waterproof box from helmetcamera.com. Its fricken indistructable!

The GoPros are also nice and worth lookin into!

Re: Late March ocean rode trip...who wants to?

Yeah the new Gopro HD cam is out too.

And as far as the gulf side...it might be more dependant on wind, but my first jetski ride was in St. Petersburg on a wind advisory day and there were easily 8-10' waves. Blistered my hands within 15mins!
