What class would this be allowed in?

I was talking with a co worker and he mentioned the wet bike. The fastest production jet ski in 1986. I watched some video of this since I was not lucky enough to be around when this things dominated but if I were to race one what class would be most excepting of this power house. I'll post pics for some that have never seen one of this. Also if anyone has one of these sleeper ski's just laying around let me know. Would love to add this to the collection. It will give me something to ride while wrenching on my ski.

Re: What class would this be allowed in?

I've seen a couple pop up from time to time on CL locally. I know there is some laying around from here to Havasu, just keep your eyes open. There is actually a site that has a section for the wet bike, just can't remember what site, but they have a lot of members.

I rode one once when I was 13 I believe. I had fun going straight, turning didn't work so well and I only spent like 15 minutes on it. Took half that time to get back on after one fall.

Just get yourself an x2 or b1, more options, parts, info.

Screw it, get yourself an FX-1, you know you have fun riding mine.

Re: What class would this be allowed in?

I sold my two Ultranuatics Wetbikes several years ago and I wish I hadn't. They are a blast in smooth water and ride like a sport bike on water. However, in rough water it (and you) take a real pounding because the ski on front is huge and doesn't cut waves.

Re: What class would this be allowed in?

those things are toads in the water. they have very little top speed at all. they have good low end power, enough to jump them up out of the water and get them on-plane.

who told you they were the "fastest production ski of 1986"? not to mention, a stock 550 will leave them behind.
