Wednesday mountain biking

I'm riding wednesday afternoon at either Bootleg Canyon or Cottonwood. If anbody wants to go, let me know. I'll be riding intermediate-expert terrain.

Re: Wednesday mountain biking

If I ride Cottonwood it will be on my singlespeed 29 with 32x18 gearing. The climbs there are nothing compared to the big hills down here (san diego county). We normaly ride 20-25 miles in 1:40. But that's with elevation gains of 3000ft+. If I ride Bootleg I'll ride my all mountain Giant.
You can go to BootlegCanyon.com and check out the trails. They have some real downhills and hold races there all year. We did a 6hr team race in october on some of the intermediate trails. There are some youtube videos of the place.

Re: Wednesday mountain biking

I rode the cowboy trails wednesday afternoon. The place is really good. I went up the first trail after the gate. A good climb ensued with 1 to 3ft steps all the way. I got to 'boneshaker' but bypassed it and kept going to the top. The view from the top is increditable. Then I went down 'bob narley'. It was pretty hard and steep. Today I met up with Tcee911 and jason n heavyb. We went up the road to the middle and went down the inner circle trail. It has some good drops and tech sections. 911 decided to take a rock n soil sample but I nissed it. Next time I'll go slow enough to watch the carnage. Ha ha. It was fun.
