Winter Round 1

Hey guys, I havnt heard much from the guys from the Auckland club about the 1st round in Auckland for the Winter Series.

As such I am confused. Firstly the entry form states North Shore, from what I am hearing this is wrong. Now my understanding is that It is at Orewa but still not confirmed.

Its the 13th today! 11 days till racing. Need to know if you want a good field there.

Laurie

***REMINDER INFORMATION ABOUT THE WINTER SERIES :

The Winter Tour Committee have elected to keep rules governing the tour rounds basically the same as last years.
DATES AND VENUES FOR EACH CLUB:
AJSA 24th May (Auckland)
WJSC 21st June (Foxton River)
Hamilton 26th July (Matakana Island)
WJSC 30thAugust (Wellington – Final Round)
There will be 4 winter tour rounds this year, as EBJSA elected not to host one, however, they will be back next year.

CLASSES :
Women’s 20 minute enduro + 1 lap, prior to main event
Pole Ski If numbers allow, minimum four
Runabout Open
R/A Stock Naturally Aspirated - if numbers allow
R/A Stock Forced Induction .i.e. Supercharged or Turbo Charged
Teams Open Teams ‘1st place trophy’ for 1st place naturally aspirated Team; however points will count towards teams open.
First Timers / Novice ‘entire season / individuals only’
End of the series: ‘Line Honors/Points Overall’ and Individual Iron man

POINTS SYSTEM: The 400 points system will be used again this year.

FEES: The fees are set at $75. Day license has now increased to $25.00, ($20 of this goes to NZJSBA), maximum of two day licenses per season. However, on club days as many day licenses as you like. No Day license fee charged for a first timer’s first race, however, they must complete and sign the form.

COMMUNICATION METHODS: Please email me for communication and I will distribute to the above names and if anybody else wishes to be included please forward me an email address.

RACE DIRECTOR: It is truly a sad loss to our sport that Fraser McLean has stepped down from this role. Each club is responsible for sourcing their own race director for the day.

RIDERS BRIEFING: As agreed Race director is eligible on race day and his appointed assistant can do random tech inspections. It is at the race director’s discretion who he nominates to do these tech inspections.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries, either email or phone.
Kind regards
