Lyttleton to Akaroa race

Does any of you know much about the Lyttleton to Akaroa race. I know it was run a couple of weeks ago. What are the entry requirements and how is it run? Any one know the results? Looks like a good ride, wouldn't mind having a go. Thanks.

Re: Lyttleton to Akaroa race

It was last weekend.
We went down and watched the start, I think they buggered it up though because they started and people were still putting their ski's in the water. So a second, smaller group decided to have their own race.

I would guess that there will be some results posted on the NZJS website.

Re: Lyttleton to Akaroa race

There were F loads of ski's at a guess over 100!
Lyttelton is over the hill from Christchurch and Akaroa is on the other side of Banks Peninsula.
