Lightbulb Auckland Social Riding email Database

Checkout the AJSA website, under the messages section I have put up a form for everyone to send in there email address to a database for social riding.

Will do a mailout before each ride for people that dont check up on here often.

What do you think??

Cheers,
Karl

Yeah, there is a lake, it's rather small and for those of us not into the racing scene, kinda expensive to only be able to ride around in circles. Also, If you don't have the latest and greatest beast, you almost feel like you shouldn't be there. Those hard core guys can be real tossers.

Re: Auckland Social Riding email Database

Not sure now. Last time I was a member was around '98 and It was around $100 if my memory serves me right. I used to go there a lot back then as I often had spare time during the week and had the place to myself. We did a lot of water skiing and boarding there, strictly against the rules. Weekends were always a pain as it got crowded and as I said before if you weren't into racing there wasn't much room for you to play. It was a great place to go to flush out after a ride in the sea though!!

oh ic. so you just have to be a member of the club to use the lake. sweet as, i heard its quite small.

yeah well we dont have any lakes up here. we have a big basin area but jet ski's are not allowed have to travel about 45mins out fo town to use lake waikato which is mostly fresh water. but i go to lake taupo and rotoura allot so thats all good.

It's $200 a year now. Where do you normally ride Mike?
There are a few of us (not many) here that ride on the Lake and also surf out at the Waimack.

Re: Auckland Social Riding email Database

Hi Digger!!
I normally go to Brooklands lagoon as we are often towing a skier etc, but to be honest I'm getting a little sick of the crowding and the arrogance and stupidity of some of the boaters, mind you some of the watercraft operators aren't all that much better. We also head to Lyttleton and Akaroa as well. I don't really want to venture out into the surf as I am scared of breaking something and with a Tigershark parts are not locally available.
