Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

What are you looking to gain by adding a through hull exhaust? The blaster 2's really don't benefit from exhaust mods from what I've seen. And usually the through hulls are just to keep cavitation down by getting the exhaust out of the pump, but you have a 155 pump in a small ski....

Spend your money on something that will help you, like a grate, plate, and mill the head.

Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

looks sound and when going straight the ski likes to "walk" sideways idk if its just the hull design or not but someone told me that it mite be from the exhaust blowing on the pump... i have a friend with a machine shop he said he would mill my head, i have flame arrestors on the wat and im in the market for a plate

The lean is not from the exhaust.

Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

not sure the exacts on a BII. but ive heard that recovering from a solid jump in the ocean will allow the engine to recover easier from rear exhaust. apparently water and air in the pump area will shoot back up the pipe and stall it out for a sec. i do like my rear exhaust though. sounds mean even at idol. also keeps your ski from turning black around the pump. I wouldnt think pvc would be that bad but idk.

Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

I never noticed it on the B2. I used to have that issue on the blaster, but you get used to it and counter your weight. My opinion would be it's from the prop spinning one way and the engine torque. But just my thought. The exhaust doesn't even blow into the pump itself. If anything with the exhaust it would be the weight of the water in the exhaust.

It'll make a difference on your B1 recovering from a jump for sure. And you're running a mod pipe so you probably get a few more R's out of it.

Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

I agree with the others who posted - rear exhaust will do little or nothing in terms of any performance gains for a B2. Nor will an exhaust system, even if you could find a B2 F/P, not much more speed due to the volume of hull in the water. Hydro dynamic drag will not allow that hull to pull much more top speed than stock.

The only B2's that are real performers are the conversions - if you could find an old Raider 1100 or Venture 1100 motor & electronics for your B2. - the ski would be exactly what you are looking for !

Re: How do i make through hull exhaust?

Not to get so much off track but when i dropped in front exhaust splitting the line to front and rear it completely stopped the stall out issue.
