The guy at the gate looked like he was coming down off of heroin or something. He had no idea.

Inlet District officials announced that on Friday, June 8th the beginning of dredging the channel from the inlet to the Intracoastal Waterway. For more information on this project contact the Sebastian Inlet Tax District (phone: 321-724-5175). Please be especially careful while boating in this work area.

BOAT RAMP OPENS FRIDAY JULY 20, 2007
Over 40 days ahead of the September 4th deadline work has been completed to the point that the boat ramps can be reopened. There will be some minor construction equipment and supplies in the area so please use caution in this area. Thank you for your patience and enjoy your new ramps.

In case you’re wondering about the construction on A1A just south of the inlet bridge, we’re happy to be the recipient of new turn lanes into the popular day use area. Construction began in mid-May with an early summer completion date. Please use extreme care when driving in this area.

Remember to keep an eye on the weather – if you see lightning, make sure to get off the jetties and beaches and head for safety as soon as possible. With hot weather in the forecast the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean may be just what you’re looking for. Please swim in the area with lifeguards. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

Please remember that snook season is now closed and will not reopen until September 1st. If you are unsure of open or closed fish seasons, what fish are biting, size limits or don’t have fishing equipment, please stop by the Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop for fishing licenses, information, rental rods, bait and tackle.

INTERPRETIVE PROGRAM SCHEDULE: There will be no interpretive programs for the months of June and July due to scheduled turtle walks – See the Scheduled Events below for turtle walks in June and July.

Re: Sebastian Inlet construction news

Cool - anyone want to ride this weekend? I've got a wedding party to attend at 3 on Saturday, so I could ride from 8ish until 1:30 or so
