Sabastian inlet info needed

I am planning to make the 10 hour trip down to Sabastian inlet to camp and jet ski at
the state park in May. My wife and I will be riding our new STX 15F's. Hopefully we can encounter some marine life?..Manatees, sharks, dolphins? while riding around the inlet. Any good hints or helpful info is appreciated.

Thanks!
Russ

Re: Sabastian inlet info needed

My wife was at the state park in May last year. From the pier, she said there was tons
of Manatee mixed in with surfers and PWC riders. We would be camping at the park.
Are all the areas safe to ride ? What is the Monster hole?

Thanks!
Russ

Right now its all safe to ride, just watch out around the inlet and river, for there are some shallow spots, and watch your speed, its a no wake zone unless you in the channel and there is a speed limit in the channel going through the inlet. Monster hole is a spot off shore that in right conditions produces nice waves, its really a nice place to ride and hangout. Everytime i ride i usually end up there.

I spent the last weekend cruising from Vero Beach to Sebastian. We saw tons of dolphin just north and south of the Merrill Barber bridge in Vero Beach. Just cruise south to Vero Beach and you should see plenty. The manatees hang out behind my house on Robal Drive and in some of the coves off the ICW.
