Riding this weekend

I'm heading out riding this weekend, probably saturday and sunday. I put in at the ramp on the corner of US1 and Pineda and ride around out there - hang out on the little beach right there and stuff. Anyone else in the area should come out! I'll be out there from around 11 until I can't afford anymore gas on Saturday, probably from 2 until whenever on Sunday, and on Friday, proably be there around 3 or 4 until whenever.

Come out and ride - the weather is supposed to be awesome!

Re: Riding this weekend

Sat. 22 I'll be in town but don't know if my standups will be ready. Kawi needs motor mounts and the newest to the fleet has an exhaust leak. Parts orderd.

Hey, that's got a nice ring to it. "my standups" ( plural )

Re: Riding this weekend

Get busy.

Also, if you dont have your standup ready you can help me test my 750 sxi. I am bringing a 96 Seadoo Love Seat that will need careful breaking in.....has a brand spanking new engine fresh from the factory. I'll see you guys Sat at the Pineda area.

Also, what oil mix ratio are you guys using on your standups?

Re: Riding this weekend

I'll be running 40:1, but that's because my top end will be pretty fresh.

My machinist looked at my F'ed up cylinder, looked me in the eye, and with the confidence of a seasoned pro said ' No problem, I'll have it for you in the afternoon'

so I'll probably be putting the first few hours on it tonight if this lightnening stops.

Re: Riding this weekend

I would only use 50:1 on a bone stock ski! As soon as you put a pipe on it go to at least 40:1, I have always ran closer to 32:1 just to be safe!

Plugs are cheap, always have spares, motors are not cheap to rebuild!

Ok,

For the rocket scientists in the audience....
What type of gas can do you use....
And, how many gallons of gas and how many quarts of Yamalube?

Re: Riding this weekend

We use a race style jug, and a Ratio Right! You cant go wrong with a Ratio Right, but the can does not realy matter. Race jugs are nice though. We mix at about 32:1-36:1 limited and mod motors. Stock ski, no hi comp, no pipe, and 50:1 is fine.
