Old 440/550 quick turn

Ken I just got one of your old 440/550 quick turn plates and when I instaled it, the cast in place stoppers limited the exit nozzel full rotation by about 3/4 inch. So I got out my hack saw and widdled away and now I get a full rotation of the exit nozzel. The cable attachment point radius of your plate is out even further than my old quick turn so I hope to feel a much quicker turning response....new years eve I get to go riding!

Re: Old 440/550 quick turn

The ocean pro quick turn works great. The extended radius of the pivot point quickly caught my attention as the steering sensativity was much greater...but only took a couple minutes to get used to.

Since I opened up the stops a little, I get a little tighter turing radius but it's not really for turning tight at that point, more like a more controlable slide. Overall, I'm happy with it compared to the last one I had.

Ski .....Thanks for the post.. You may have gotten an un machined one because we also machined the stops for a precise effect. But some were also sold as cast. Which ever one you got I'm glad your happy.
Thanks again

Thumbs up Re: Old 440/550 quick turn

SKI
I have one of those also. Works awsome. I mounted mine on a billet quick turn plate to match the sub plate. I also have a PJS Quick turn nozzle.
Ultra quick steering!
Good stuff.

Woops! And I took a hacksaw to it? Sorry about that. It needed an enhancement. Maybe it should have gone to the museum.

Ski.....No worries mate.... saw all you want I've got more. The actuall first one was made out of scrap piece of aluminum with a hand drill and a file.
