Question any one know if you can use a 440 pump with a 550 sharft and impeller

i heard somewere that if you put the 440 pump on a 550 it halls way more *** any info would be cool

You have to change out the shaft,impeller,and pump and it depends on your weight,yes the 440 pump does flow mowre water but if you are over 200lbs I would say stay with the 550 pump and upgrade the impeller,the 550 pump creates more thrust.So what I am saying here is 550 for thrust ,440 for speed.

There different shafts and props .. 550 is splined and 440 is not.440 use 440 shaft and pump 550 same they can be swapped as a complete drive.
