OK guys, would be great to get this locked in, date (got it) times, where to meet, who is in, where people plan to meet with one final meet spot before we depart etc... is Block island still the best destination etc...

i've got the blessing from the wife to go for the day on Aug 9th. I was looking forward to BI as i've never been. So let me know where to launch at what time...... Also, i'm assuming we will need to fuel up somewhere; is fuel available at BI or somewhere else? Place to eat? Anyone have radar on thier ski?

I'll be on my rxpx and my buddy is going on his r12x. We will be at the ramp around 9, and probably play in the surf till the rest of you guys show up.
We can refuel at BI.
If its a nice day we will be able to see the island from we we depart.
if you guys get really adventurous Long Island is about 19 miles East of BI.
Really depends on the weather, it can get rough pretty quick.
I'll post directions to the ramps and a map for those of you coming from NewPort/Middletown.

Its only 12 miles away...
I'd assume they have 91+ since theres always million dollar race boats around.
Ill call a couple of marinas and verify

Race boats run on 87

Most of the race boats I've been on run high compression motors or forced induction 107-114 octane.
Outerlimits boats are made in RI, they run on 110.
I haven't seen many 500+HP boats run on 87?
Do you think you will need gas? Its only 12 miles?

Ok guys here are the maps..If you plan on meeting me @ the ramp call my cell 617-6941345.
Its a small lot, there are two other ramps one in the center of Narragansett and a huge lot in Pt. Judith.
I've included 3 pics, One on the ramp I'll launch from, directions to our meeting spot and map showing distance from Narragansett to BI.

You probably won't find super at the docks for your X boat but it won't hurt it to run the tank half down on 93 and then fill up with 89. Even the sticker under the hood says you can run 89 but 93 is recomended for max crack. But I know how you feel. I try to use 93 all the time.

Not my sticker super 91+ or else i could not find super on any island as of yet , my buddys race boat 87 89 and that a vett motor 600HP . not only that but we are not welcome on the island , lunch ect. you want to do a rip lets ride boston harbor to ipswich . markey moto has done that ride on a 750 back in the day.
