I'm one of the the first to blow up a 260x. The top end sounded like jackhammer pounding on a solid rock!!!! I'm dropping it off at the dealership in the morning, details to follow.

Update.

I dropped the off at Chaplin, Tech thinks the starter is stuck (few cases) and going to the check the whole system on Monday. I should have the full repair list by Mid week.

Real sorry to hear this. Hope you're covered and floating again quickly. My RXP-X warranty runs out in about a month and a half. Pray for me as I will for you my son.

sorry to hear about your bad luck. i got my 260 from chaplin also, good guys and good prices. hope its just the starter rubing on the flywheel. mine is still going no probs yet as i only have around 30 hours on it so far. hope they get you fixed up quick as the good weather is finaly here.

Hey Rob, I was glad that I could help get you back safe and sound. Another reason why we shouldn't ride alone, and always bring a tow rope in case you need a Sea-Tow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the motor itself is OK. I'll see you on Tuesday for a blast down the river again but this time on a pair of RXP's. Meet at Slips at 5pm. Plan on a rip to the Mount Hope Bridge and back. I'll have the skis gased up and ready to go. High tide is 9pm and they're calling for scattered t-storms as of now.

It’s a sad day in Kawasaki land.

They pulled my engine and suspect my crank shaft failed; more time is needed for root cause.
