Lake Webb in the buena vista recreational area. We just bought a campsite there....and everywhere else I called was booked for the weekend. If I dont have a group of people going i stay in a campground so my trailer doesnt get stolen in the open free areas ya know. There was only 2 spots left for Webb Lake when I called. I got one. I think I can have 8 people on the spot anyway. We are about 50 feet from the waters edge...and really close to the water area for skis. And we dont have to follow rotation thank god. Like I said tho, it will be me and my bro...we have a blast. The Yami is a no go....but I have my" 660"sx bored over. Fast as a mother, and STRONG. Anyway...it is closer to the more southern of so cal people down here in san diego. It knocks off like a hour drive for me. I am posting a Webb Lake Thread. Hit me up in there if you want to meet or want to see if I still have room. We will be doing a bunch of fishing also, probably go check the other lakes for fun. We are cig "smoke" friendly

where is this lake at ? never heard of it. can you launch at the beach?

Go to the rec and park page for bakersfield. It is the buena vista aquatic rec area. Never been there either. Friggin Canada AIR I do not believe is going to have my motor here in time for the rebuild.....fingers crossed or we will just be fishing the whole time.

I should be able to sneak in a ride over that weekend. Looking forward to meeting some other members out there, but FYI be prepared for a lot of traffic, and a strong Ranger presence. There are often 2 or 3 patrol cars operating on weekends, which are always a zoo in summer at BV, and the fourth is going to be packed.

Jeff - it will be tough to find a beach launch spot. You can park really close but there is a 1 to 2 foot dropoff around most of the shore before it hits the beach. If you are riding a standup you could get a couple of guys together to carry it in pretty easily.

Hope you have a great time. Make sure to post some pictures. This lake really doesn't get much play on here, and I'd love to hear more about it, seeing as how it is less than two hours away from me. Lake Pyramid is closer, but getting there at 5am really isn't much of an option for my family. It would be worth it to drive an extra hour if it meant we could sleep in. Plus the camp sites right on the water are very appealing. Wish I could go... can't wait to hear your report.
