best spot to jetski surf and lake

i plan on picking up a x2 hoppfully soon. and was wondering were a good place to practice were there are no wake zones in so cal, also i was reading another post about lanching out of camp pendleton or near there to ride surf but also worried about being able to beach my ski for refule. (i know this illega but ppl say if your away from the rv section and other ppl youll be ok) becuse thats what i really want to do once i get the hang of riding my ski. thanks.

I would say don't ride the ocean until you have mastered the ski especially if you don't have another person. It took me about 5 times at puddingstone to get the hang of it, although I am still improving every time I go. I would recommend riding there until you have worked all the bugs out of the ski and have gotten some practice in.

most beaches here except for san diego are illegal.

Oceanside Harbor is the only place to launch in that area and I doubt the Military lets you beach your ski at Camp Pendleton.

If you go inside the surfline at Pendleton you have armed Marines in your face.
Refuel offshore with a runabout carrying your fuel like we do for our standup brothers & sisters.

lol no kiding they roll up with there ar15 with aimpoint scoops. haha, so then whats was this guy talking about im confused ill post the link to the other post. and yea turbocouperacer i plan on learning on a lake first do you know any spots were there no wake zone? i dont want to sink my ski the first day i ride lol

Can't beach there. Gov. is correct. Ride at your own risk.

can not beach there, but i have many times. its fun but o side has kicked my *** too many times i think im done up there. it is fun to see the o-side crew tearin it up out there. i stick to point loma now. no places to beach but its only about a mile or so from the launch ramp to the break.
