Tokeland / Willapa Bay Saturday Nov. 21

Mike Brandt and I are doing a recon/new boat break in mission to Willapa Bay on Nov 21. We picked this spot because we both have big heavy couches so the boat launch at Tokeland is the rally point for water access.

It's been years since I've done Willapa but the last time I was there in the Fall/Winter it was nice because the bathymetry is so varied that there are waves of every size and for every experience level. It's about 4.5 miles out to the big waves at the mouth of the bay. But there is also a little sand bar just south of the boat launch that had some nice 5-8 footers when the waves out at the mouth were 14-18.

I'll have my big Kawi and my STX-R in case someone shows up that would like to ride a couch. Heck for that matter, my two boats can keep four people entertained for hours.

Any and all are welcome to come along. We'll be staying in Tokeland Saturday night, but it's only two hours from Olympia and three from Seattle if people are coming down for the day.

Re: Tokeland / Willapa Bay Saturday Nov. 21

If my ski was together I would go. I have a cabin 2mi from the docks on the bay. I have beach carted it a few times to the lagoon out back and rode out into the bay. Fun to ride, but wasn't real big during the summer.
