Question superjet won't shut of once I start it. Help?!??

Just did some maintenance on the 2000 tan superjet. I haven't riden it in a couple of months and It's never done this before.

I started it and went to shut it down with the stop button and it would not shut down, I pulled the lanyard, still running. so I flooded it with the primer to kill it. I pulled the switch apart but all the wires look intact and everything seems to be sealed so i can't clean any contacts.

Any Ideas on where to go next with it???

Make sure it's not unpluged by the motor.

Probably broken black or white wire between the ebox and stop button, or the connector.....TURN YOUR IDLE WAY DOWN TO ZERO WHEN TROUBLSHOOTING. If its air leak with hight rpm open the throttle full and hit stop button. This is why I opted for a brand new switch assembly since I had had many issues the last couple years with old broken wires, corroded connectors and internal switch parts. If engine stops but it keeps cranking after you hit the stop button, start solonoid is fried.

It was just Idling. I'll check the plug by the motor. I just had the pipe off for new o-rings, couper and to check the fittings and changed motormounts. don't think anyting I did would have anything to do with why it's not shutting down.

I have no connector. my start /stop switch was hard wired after an engine fire before I got it.

wire would make sense to me. How can I test for a bad wire?

continuity tester, you will have to unplug the white and black and test to the switch, should flow current when you hit the stopper or pull lanyard, normally open circut, pushing the button grounds the cdi. Start circut is the same idea.

Kawi style switch is much simpler, I had one on mine (wetjet) last season.
