Selling a Single place trailer...

So I have this trailer and I've been offered $400 for it.

Seem like a decent price to me, but I don't want to give it away.

I don't really know the going rate for them around here though.

It's a 2003 Shorelander PWC trailer with 1200lb capacity.

Any input would be great.

Or, if anyone else is interested, let me know.

Re: Selling a Single place trailer...

Talk to Harbor Dan... He was looking for one.. I'd say 4-600 range for a nice single Shorelander. Galvanized would be lower.

Is that it in the pic?

Re: Selling a Single place trailer...

That is an exact one in the pic, but not mine. This one is in really good shape, only a few nicks and scratches. Very minor. So $400 is probably bottom of the scale?

This one is painted.

Re: Selling a Single place trailer...

Are these single trailers the best two place stand up trailers? Im looking into getting a two place stand up trailer. I've seen the regular two place trailers but I I think they might be to big.

galvanized will usually be more as the painted ones will look like mine over time..........you might get 500 for that but it takes a lot of work to convert them to a double wide ski trailer imo. I love the way my Zieman tows but ah the rust....

Re: Selling a Single place trailer...

Andy,

I have a double sitdown trailer for my standups...works great and just incase you get really addicted there is more room for skis (i only wanted 2 but now have 5, and want more). Also you can mod them to fit a box for gear and everything. If you find a double in good shape grab it if you have room.

Cannibal,

400 seems like a good deal to sell it to me, but i haven't seen yours.

Re: Selling a Single place trailer...

Thanks.

Everyone that has seen the trailer says "Wow, that's in really good shape". So it's defects are minor.

This one would be really hard to convert to 2 place. It has a V design to keep the couch nice and low on the chassis (it sits low between the frame rails). You'd have to build some cross supports and tall bunks and the skis would probably be over the fenders. One like this is not a very good building block.

I have a 2 place stand up trailer that was originally a single place couch (or small boat) trailer. It's built flat and we removed the stock 4 lug axle and installed a heavier 5 lug axle (no more 60psi donut tires) that is wider and moved it back for better towing. Then pushed the bunks out more and added a walk way down the middle. It's perfect for my use.

The guy that wants the single has a double place large couch trailer. He only has 1 couch, 98 SeaPoo 3 seater, and the trailer is too big for him (no where to park it). If anyone is looking for a large (he said wider than his truck, F150), it will be available soon and I can pass it on. He hasn't told me what he wants for it or any other details.
