Hows the standup scene in WA??

Hey guys im from florida and ride quite a bit down here. I recently joined the Navy and they are sending me to Kitsip base in Washington and just want to know if theres any riding going on in the area? That and hoping to maybe meet some people in the area to trade and buy with. im going to be there at the start of year. im only going to bring my PJS laserjet with a kawi 750 with me but ill pry be looking for a blaster eventually. im going to be looking for a 750 engine also.

There are quite a few of us that ride regularly. Watch the northwest forum and hit us up when you get here. Do you ride surf? We ride at Grayland pretty regularly.

Laserjet!! That's a rare one.

O systems dry suit is what you need to ride up here with and a thin hood and helmet + goggles , there is a good group of people to ride up here with , and good racing events planned for the summer .

I think a 3/2 wetsuit, booties, a pair of gloves, and maybe a helmet does pretty well in 50 degree water...who needs goggles when you got eyelids? Nevertheless you'll find a great group to ride with!

Yeah i bought the laserjet in florida 2 years ago for $700 with a running 750 in it. the guy removed the oil pump off the front of the engine and didnt cover it so every time he rode it would stop firing and he couldnt figure out why. He thought he was selling me a broke ski. Its not running now the bottom end got water in it somehow. but im bringing it with me in january. Ill for sure need a wetsuit. I will admit it im a wuss from florida and need a wetsuit to survive. haha. I appreciate the hospitality. and no ive never been able to do any surf riding but its on the top of my to do list. Cant wait to ride.
