Where to ride around Celebration?

My wife and I are going to be staying at a resort in Celebration memorial day week (got a timeshare for free so what the heck, right?). We plan to bring the skis and would like to know where some good places to ride are and where to launch the skis. Thanks!

Jax,
I live in Clermont, about 25 minutes NW of Celebration & I can send you to a few boat launches on the Clermont chain. About 1/2 hr from where you will be staying. If I'm around that weekend I'll show you around. Pm me if you like & I'll get you as much info as you would like about riding in that area.

Re: Where to ride around Celebration?

Jax riders- We live in Clay County and ride mostly in Black Creek and Doctors Lake. We occasionaly venture down the river and last week went over to Julington Creek as far as the marina. We're axiously awaiting the first trip to Huegenot or Matanzas. We love jumping the breakers. We should all meet up one weekend. Black Creek is GREAT for fast smooth-water riding. There is never chop.

jpack- PM on its way in a second. Thanks!

Re: Where to ride around Celebration?

we live close to the beach and always dump in @ mayport. We spend as many weekends as we can @ fort george. Meeting up would be great. We used to jump the breakers all the time unitl we blew a supercharger!!! Now that we race, cant afford any more repairs!!!! Look forward to a group ride.... Jodi

Re: Where to ride around Celebration?

I like going out to doctors lake, and I've heard about black creek many times but never launched there.

I run on the ICW and some other river spots around town as well.

A group ride would be sweet.

Re: Where to ride around Celebration?

OWR is planning on going to Matanza's Inlet on Saturday. Should be there by mid morning. Will be hanging out most of the day. Go to orlando watercraft riders and check out ad-hoc rides. Come join us.

Re: Where to ride around Celebration?

The ad-hoc ride is on the St Augustine thread. We change our minds and now going to Matanzas Inlet. You don't have to meet at the ramp, just put in anywhere and meet us at the inlet. Right maybe about 8 skiis going.
