Sanford to silver glen on St Johns 6/9

I think me and the wife are going to ride up to silver glen on Sat. morn. We usually launch in Deland off of 44 but I think were going to launch from Sanford at I-4. This should be a nice long ride. I'm going to bring an extra 5 Gal with me just in case. Only use half a tank round trip from Deland so may not need it but will bring it just in case. Anyone interested in going let me know.

FireHawk, There is a long no wake zone around Blue Springs, plus other no wake zones along the way before SR44. If its hot out you will be bacon before SR44. We are putting in at SR44 Ed Stone Park. Should be in the water at 10AM. Look for a Red 06 STX-15F, that will be us.

Jim,
So its not worth it to run from Sanford. Sould we just go up to 44? I was looking for a longer ride that is why I was going to put in at Sanford. 44 is were we usually go. I have a green 06 Stx 15f. I will look for you guys at the ramp if we hit 44.

Thanks,
Brian

I don't think its worth it. Maybe on a boat with a bimini would be alright. Its just way to long to idle on a ski. Heck its long in a boat. I did it a couple months ago on a nice warm day in my boat and we got pretty hot. A lot is "Slow Speed Minimum Wake" on a ski anything over idle the watercops may hassle you.

Do you have the RPM kit on your ski? I have the full RPM kit on mine. Meet us at about 9:45AM Saturday at Ed Stone Park, if you like. My wife will be with me, too.

May have 1 or 2 other skiis going too maybe.

Jim,
Me and Yavette will see you guys at the ramp. I have the full rpm kit but have not installed the free flow yet. I got everything else on . I may take it to Riva for that not sure if I want to do that myself.

We usually just bring lunch and eat at SilverGlenn. Hang out at the Glenn for a hour or two.

I did the exhaust mod on mine. Had a friend do the waterbox mod, but I pulled it out for him. Its loud, thinking about putting second waterbox back in and taking a little pitch out of prop, if the change lowers my top rpm's.

Jim,
Sounds good. Looking foward to it . No wake zones were toasty. Dodged a bullit on that one .
