Lake County riding.

Anyone in this group ever do any riding in Lake County.... particulary the Harris chain? I live on Lake Harris and a few of us go out every Sunday to wakeboard, ride the skis and drink a few. Just wondering.

We rode on Lake Eustis and those lakes a few times last year, is that the Harris Chain?

Yep, sure is. Lake Harris pours into Lake Eustis via the Dead River. Then Lake Eustis empties into Lake Dora via the Dora Canal.

Ok, thought so. We had some pics in our gallery under "Lake Eustis" so was curious since it sounded familiar but I knew the ride by the lake name, not the chain name.

Re: Lake County riding.

Been over that way a few times. Bad luck with the wind blowing the lakes out. Willing try again though. Do you wakeboard behind your ski or do you have a boat? Asking because we wakeboard in the lake behind our house, but the water is getting too low for the boat. I have a SessionSI wakeboard boat, but its not getting use lately.

Are you going to WakeFest in WinterHaven this weekend coming up?

Re: Lake County riding.

We only wakeboard behind the boat. We board behind my friends Sea Ray 190. It's not a wakeboard boat per se but it gets the job done. He's thinking of purchasing a tower sometime. Sometimes it gets quite windy on these lakes because of their size. We always figure out which direction the wind is coming from and head in that direction. I could be on the lake 24/7 and be fine with it.

Re: Lake County riding.

Hey STR8,

We may need to bring the boat over some time. How deep are those lakes on average? Here are some pics behind my friends 03 SessionXI. That my wife hitting it and a friend. The last two are my 04 SessionSI with not a lot of weight.

Re: Lake County riding.

That's a nice boat AJ. The lakes around here are pretty deep. Average depth would be 8-14ft. We usually go out and screw around. My friend Dewaine and I are the only 2 guys that can wakeboard decent. I'm in the process of teaching the girlfriend. She can get up but that's about it. There's a small bar/restaraunt right on the lake called the Lake Harris Hideway... we usually go there and get a buzz then it's back to riding some more. We always have a good time either way. If you ever do head this way let me know and we'll meet up.

Re: Lake County riding.

Well we're going out on Harris this Saturday. Going to focus more on wakeboarding and less on beer drinking....we'll see how THAT goes, ha! Keeping the GP high and dry this weekend even though I got it running great.
