Clermont Chain

Forecast Saturday March 23:
High: 82... Partly sunny. Breezy. Highs in the lower 80s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph becoming east 15 to 20 mph (!) in the afternoon

It's really nice here Friday morning (now), gonna be windy this weekend but if the sun is shining we'll probably be out there Saturday...

Re: Clermont Chain

Not yet, but WOW, Mike we had a great day out today... LOTS of PWC everywhere; Hondas, Yammies, Kawis, and have to say I thought the Ultra 250's would be faster. Still no passin' the RXT's. It was rough out---10-15 mph winds and 2 foot waves,---but blue skies, lots of bikinis and lots of fun.

Re: Clermont Chain

I was itching to go out today but my good gtx is buried in the garage. I'm hoping my gtx project will be ready by next week so i can take it out. I got the reverse cable in this morning. All thats left to do is change the pump oil, put the pump back in place and get the new battery charged up. I also need to finish setting up the double trailer. Move ALL that out of the way so I can get my working GTX out and into Lake Louisa

Re: Clermont Chain

I don't think the Ultra 250X can pass a RXT if the RXT was ahead, but from dead stop the Ultra will jump the RXT by 2-3 boats and RXT can't pass the Ultra either. Both skis top speed about dead even as I GPSed 67.2 mph yesterday.

Re: Clermont Chain

I hear ya Kim, my work schedule is getting even worse for the time being. Im being moved to 2nd shift with wednesdays and thursdays off so I wont have anytime for the ski for quite some time unless a miracle happens. I put it away for now in the back of the garage since I can't find anyone to head out with in the middle of the week. I think AJ might have off every other thursday but I cant remember his schedule.

Im waiting on a call from a company in Plant City, Im praying I get it since it's about 15k more a year plus the bouns is a 1st shift job with every weekend off. But thats down in Plant City so who knows if I would make it up to Orlando often enough. I would end up moving down in the area and heard it's a decent place to live, unlike being in the heart of Orlando.

Re: Clermont Chain

Creative; Yeah, that sounds right to me... all I know is what I see on the water; we left one maybe two 250's behind today, maybe they were running with a full tank, (we were both 1/2 full), who knows... I looked back and one was sorta hanging with us, but at that point it seemed to me like we were pulling way ahead while using maybe... 30-50% less fuel?

It looks like a great machine for rough water tho... we were more neck and neck in the rough as I recall.

Sweeeeet, 15K bump would be nice, and we'll be hoping you get that. Orlando used to be a great place, some areas are still nice but it ain't what it used to be that's for sure. We thought about you today at the Tiki Bar...

Re: Clermont Chain

Mike,

My schedule changes all the time. Every six weeks new and different. This schedule I have Wednesdays off; April 11th, 25th, May 2nd, and Thursdays off just May 3rd. Everyother weekend off. New guy backed out of working every weekend, can't blame the guy. Alicia has to work Monday - Thursday all the time.

Plant City? Single + +15Kmore = MORE FUN !!!, You only live once!!!

Jim

Re: Clermont Chain

Miike, I have my own biz and there are times I can goof off during the week, so if you ever decide to come out let me know there is always a chance I can ride.
