I was just wondering where the best spots to ride around New Smyrna Beach (just south of Daytona) are. both fresh and salt. Thanks

Re: Best riding spots around New Smyrna Beach

Depns on if you are a standup or sit down rider..

Ponce Inlet is famous for big waves and ocean riding. Boat ramp is by the lighthouse, but get there before 9am since fisherman use the ramp and fill it up early.

You can launch from Ormond Beach and ride the intercoastal all the way to St Augustine, get lunch and walk around, and then ride back. That is a great long range ride since there basically is no speed limit after you get out of Ormond area, about 10-15 minutes of riding at 30mph, then wide open. Only a few no wake zones, none more than 5 minutes long...

Ride in the ocean, go 5 miles out and follow the casino boats. Only do so if you are with a group of course, for safey sake.
