Well what a day, it was fantastic.
Congrats to jetpark / speedworld on hosting another great event. things seem to have run smoothly from a spectators point of view, with a couple false starts that added to the tension. The grounds were busy and buzzing with action all day, right till we packed up and left for home at around 16.30 odd.
Dustin Moutzoris once again showed why he is world champion, this time on his kawasaki, as he was flawless on the track, hitting that holeshot everytime. the kawa seems to work for him, as he never missed his line and looked alot more relaxed and flowing than he did on his superjet. as a stand up rider myself it amazes me how he can stand on his kawa in the middle of the lake, deadstill having a discussion with a fellow competitor on his sitdownfor 10min.
His brother tyrone filled in the second place spot deservedly, the battle seemed to be for all the positions left after that. with some close calls and marcel trading paint with a superjet coming down the home straight. fortunately no one was hurt, although they both took a little dip in the lake.
Hiedi showed her mettle as she battled it with the guys in the novice section , she was fluid and didnt seem rattled at all by the action around her, she stuck her line and kept it consistant. helping her place well. she was the only female stand up rider of the day. we hope more ladies are inspired and the no's climb, so a whole division can be set aside for them.
More results to follow.
Thanks for a great day. !!!
