Paint ?

looking at painting my ski, and thoughts would be paint to half and bottom half of a x2, type of paint used, best method spray or roll ? any thoughts.

It all depends on what your budget, time, and how you want it to look. I used rustolium on my 750ss (see my sig) and it looks good to me for $50 invested. You can do a cheap rattle can job, or go way out there and spend more on a profesonal job.

there is alot out there in the rustolium paint job, but mine is using the quart cans of rustolium, and thinning it out with acetone, and then putting it in a spray gun and painting it with that. But there is another method of using a paint roller to get the same result if you dont have access to a air compressor and a spray gun

yea i was looking at you other thread in painting and that blue and white looks good. where did you get the paint ? how much was it? and did u sand in between coats ?

Yes if you roll it you need to thin it out. You want the paint to lay flat on its own between coats. I did not sand it between coats since I sprayed it, but I would if I were to roll it. I got the cans at walmart, but you should be able to get a can of rustolium anywhere

what is better to use oil base or urethane? you showed pics of gallon cans u picked those up at walmart, or primer spray cans ?

Yup, you can get thoes cans at walmart. They should be right by the spray paint
