My 650sx Build project

So I bought my ski tords the end of the season in 2008. I spent alot of time on the water after buying it. I then started getting good at riding it, slideing, jumping, etc. I found i was in need of more power and modifications. The ski only had ride plate and intake grate(non scoop). I found this forum site and started reading of all the things everyone was doing to there skis. I didnt get out last year beacuse I started making footholds and got into the project a little to deep. At the time not having a job was a huge problem for funding it. I removed all of the pads and turf to find someone ahd done a crappy repair to the tray. I cut the holes in the sides of the tray and found the foam to be water logged. Im a all or nothing kind of guy so out came the tray floor and half of the sides. What have I gotten my self into? I have just started thinking about the ski again and am starting to get all of the parts together to get the ski going again.
This is what im going to be installing after getting my tray all sorted out:
44sbn Bad Bones
intake
F/A ocean pro
bars (I think they are 7 and 4 deg double bend)
quick steer plate
mariner head
kerker pipe
mariner water box
skat trak 6.5 impeller (not sure if this will be correct for my riding style)
oil block off
crank case block off

And im still looking for:
scoop intake grate
lanyard start/stop
open style gas nose
primer
paint color
turf

Re: My 650sx Build project

So I just picked up a new PJS top loader intake grate for $78. Was this a good deal or did I pay to much? Also do the grates have a crome or zink plateing on them from the factory?
