js550 exhaust question!!! need advice!!!

Hey all

I have a 550 with one of those ugly and loud exhaust pipes on the nose. Im doing a massive restoration/restomod on the old ski and want to have the more modern exhaust which is located below the waterline on the hull.

What is this fixture called? And is conversion hard to do? What is envolved???? can someone give me some advice!!!!! I want to buy this fixture on ebay but dont know what to type in.

please help

are you talking about the jetpower exhaust?

I think he means a rear exhaust as found on 550/440's 90' and on.

All you'll need is the part that exits the hull (on the right below the waterline) and the tube that goes from the top of the water box to your new side exit. The previous exit hole in the hull needs to be covered with something, there were company's that made cover plates that bolted into the opening or you could just glass it
