FootHolds + Turfing Questions on 93 SJ (Build)

Hey guys!

I have a 93 Yamaha SuperJet 650 that i just put footholds into (Blowsion Dawson Diggers). I am looking for a mat kit, preferable Hydro-Turf that i can use to get everything turfed up, and cant seem to find one.

Also I bought the Blowsion Bilge pump mount and i am confused where it goes. Do i just mount it on the housing where the drive shaft comes out of? it came with rivets and i would like to avoid using them.

Last question, i riveted the footholds in and placed Goof around the edges to create a seal, should i still fiberglass everything?

Thanks alot for your Help!
Charlie

you have to use west system epoxy, not fiberglass. yes i use the west system as an adhesive before you rivet , but sounds like you used somethingelse.

I mix up some thick epoxy to seal them, then use stainless screws to secure them while it sets. I still glass them though, for a good seal and strength.

As far as a mat kit goes, I'm pretty sure they don't make them for the square. Just get a sheet and cut it yourself, it's not difficult at all.

Blowsion bilge pump mount is secured using the existing midshaft bolts.

Thanks for your post!

So i just take of the midshaft bolts and mount it in there? so there is no need for the rivets?

I am about to do the same thing with mine. Did you have issue with the exhaust tube when you cut into the right rail? I am a little concerned about where to put them in....

I had no problem on the right side. I would prefer that you put them back a little further to avoid hitting the pipe though. Instead of the right side, i actually had problems on the left. Just make sure that you it lays flush and you are good to go. The whole installation only took me about an hour.
