Dual cooling question

I have my 440/650 conversion in piece and wa thinking about dual cooling. I was wondering if I needed to replace the curret hose that runs through the bulkhead with a differnt/larger hose or if i just need to run another line through the bulkhead. If anyone has any more infor or opinions on dual cooling i would appreciate it. A diagram or where the lines run would be awesome (especailly with cooling to motor, heal, and exhaust) thanks

Re: Dual cooling question

you tap the pump for another line and then run it through the bulkhead

Re: Dual cooling question

Run an electric bilge and utilize the OEM bilge line

Re: Dual cooling question

My electric bilge sits about an inch off the bottom of the hull, is it still a good idea to take out the OEM bilge and use tha line? How hard is it to run a new line through the hull and bulkhead? Do you just use a long drill bit, a piece of copper tubing, and some silicone? And also is this usually run through the left or right side of the driveshaft?

Re: Dual cooling question

Do like Pom mentioned and just buy a new bilge bracket that sits lower. You don't really need dual cooling on the 650 motors because of the larger water jackets and the fact that you won't be running 10K rpm's the engine won't run as hot.
