The Crackhead 750 SXi Rebuild

SO the story goes like this.
I buy a 750 SXi via photos..
Turns out the photos were taken from its one good angle.
I think a crack head had a go at painting it.

Someone likes corks...

And the best part about it

The motor is a recent transplant by the look of it and if a hunnie!

So I started to strip it, the inside of the hull took 5 goes with degreaser and 3 goes with the waterblaster.. I've never see anything so filthy.
Forgot to take a pic of it and just got stuck into the cleaning.

Started a little sanding

Some not very nice surprises

It has begun....

What a mess! (I like the lanyard!) How much did you pay for it?

Re: The Crackhead 750 SXi Rebuild

I paid around $800us on trailer for it (I'm In New Zealand) which is well under 1/2 of what a average stocker is worth here.
Has 'Kawasaki 750sx Racing' rideplate and Scat impeller.
Engine is sweet.

I need a project for when I'm not at wk.
Going black hull, fluro green top
