Hey guys, have been reading a lot and not posting nearly as much as I should have (hope I posted his in the right place, wasn't really sure). To start, let me give my present situation. Two of my cousins have had blasters, years ago, and I found mine for $600 with low compression in one cylinder. It was close to the end of the season so I figured I'd ride it twice. On the second ride, I heard a crunching sound, like I sucked something up, and idled into the docks. Turns out one of my cylinder heads broke into pieces and went through the engine

. My cousin looked at it, and figured it would cost like $1000 to get it back in running shape.
So, needless to say I was pretty

.
Then we found a BUILT 760 engine off ebay, don't have the specs with me but was build by a shop, and got it for less than $1000. As it arrived, the carb shaft got bent and we have been having a h#$l of a time finding one, but we think we have one. Once that arrives, I'm sure I will have some questions on line set ups.
Oh, and I also got a good deal on a solas prop that I will be getting on soon.
As for now, I was thinking of roller painting it with rustoleum. I have read a number of the threads on this site and am on like page 30 for the original mopar site. I was thinking flat black, maybe with a lil yellow to match the original seat. Just wondering what some opinion on this were. I have already seen Nemo's pics, and like the results. Anything anybody would like to add? I have heard the marine paint Brightside is good, but since the top won't be in the water that much I was just going to cheap out and go with the rustoleum.
I am planning on sanding it down with 100, then 200. Rollering it with two coats, then wet sanding with 400, 2 more coats, etc . . . And no, I don't plan on spraying or having a professional doing it. I'm 17 (almost) and this is costing me more faster than I though possible, now I know how Dad feels. LOL. It's either rollering or leaving it the way it is.
P.S. Will hopefully be getting some pics this weekend.
