750 sx diamond in the rough!

So I see all these amazing deals everyone gets on here. I finally got one myself. My 850 build is a pain in the ***. Too much tuning and messing not enough riding. I wanted to find a back up and do an economic build to have fun.

I bought a 93 750 sx for $850. It is extremely dirty. I knew it had the factory pipe and dual carbs. What I found was a completely diferent thing. It was like x-mass as a kid taing it apart. First off the dual carbs I thought were sxr take offs are dual 44 sbn mikunis with R&D 44/46mm intake. There are reed stuffers with what looks to be oem cages, the cases look to be cleaned up not sure how ported they are, I have yet to split the cases. A rebuilt crank welded looks good through the intake ports. I pulled the flywheel cover and walla a blue shiny aftermarket lightweight flywheel. Timing advance, Skat - Track 10/18 prop. Pump looks to be blueprinted - its very smooth in the pump with a few tooling marks. Does not look like my oem pump on my other 750. Aftermarket ride plate and intake grate. This thing has everything.

I took it out for a ride when i got it to see if it even ran. Top end was ok and the bottom was terrible. I opened up the carbs a bit of junk around the diaphragm but the jets are not even close. 107.5 main with 102.5 pilot. Needle and seat 2.5 wih shiny silver spring.

The person I bought it from never rode it and said that he hates to have toys that are this dirty. So far the engine has cleaned up nicely. A loose coupler on the exhaust so there was that black soot all over.

Future plans:
MSD Enhancer
MSD retard module
Head recut for 93 octane

This thing is going to rip.

If any one has an Enhancer forsale pm me.
