650sx westcoast exhaust installation help?

I just recently picked up a westcoast exhaust and manifold for my 88 650sx. It is completely stock as of and i noticed that there are a total of 6 places to hook up water lines and only 4 total on my stock exhaust and mani. What am i doing people? Tell me whats best!

Also keep in mind that in near future i will be getter a 44mm SBN so does this mean i should keep the dual cooling in the manifold? anyways check it out let me know what you think!

Re: 650sx westcoast exhaust installation help?

The dual cooling should be left... just plug one of the wholes for now. You will want to run water into the manifold from the pump. If you are facing the nose of the ski you want the hose that is on the right side of the driveshaft to be hooked up to the mani. Plug the other hose.. that is a drain from your stock exhaust.

Now run a hose from the head on the engine to the outlet on the front of the head pipe that faces the nose. Then run a hose between the two connected hoses to the stinger. You will want to T that hose and run it to a pisser.

If you look in the vintage section there is a thread there with a drawn diagram. Its really simple....but explaining it is really hard without a picture.

Re: 650sx westcoast exhaust installation help?

Ok i couldn't find that diagram so i'm just double checking. I plugged up the two outer wholes in the mani and used the center one which i assume is for single cooling. I also labeled the outlets on the exhaust to make it easier. So the yellow outlet connects to the engine head... The two white outlets connect to the red outlet and then i connect those hoses and connect to the pisser??? That doesn't sound right for some reason... maybe it will be easier to explain now. I'm also wondering if i can just put a 90* outlet where the yellow straight one is so i don't have to do any loops with the hose. Thanks a lot for your help so far
