550 reed motor wanted

hi all.

my js440 motor has kicked the bucket and ive decided to do a massive upgrade to a 550 reed motor.

i want one that is complete and is in good working order and ready to drop in my hull. please send pics to crank-shaft@hotmail.com

also i live in Australia so i will need some shipping quotes if i find any motors that look promising.

i will also consider buying the cylinder/block and pistons without the crank, head, exhaust. the intake for the reed block i would as well

Re: 550 reed motor wanted

so its in good working order? no rebuild needed? hows the crank? balanced?? sorry for all the questions, i had a bad experience recently and the whole motor might as well be thrown in the bin, well the bottom end anyway.

so basically can this motor go straight in without any fuss or rebuilding??

I pulled this motor from a running ski last season (08) that the pole bracket smashed through the hull.
As I said it has been started as recent as two weeks ago.
The compression is 160psi per cyl, runs well. I have not torn it down as there has been no reason to.

Why didnt it sell? I dont know, no reason was given, tire kicker maybe????

Shipping is going to be spendy, do you have a preferrece who the carrier is?

Re: 550 reed motor wanted

Well more than the cost of the motor from FedEx and USPS.

Re: 550 reed motor wanted

theres gonna be no cheap way to ship a motor over there. PM waxhead on here, he is from Aussi. He may have an idea on what to do, shipping for something that heavy is gonna be ridiculous
