300sx 650 pump/motor conversion

figured i would take some pictures.


so far:
shortened hand pole 2 3/4"
650sx pump
650TS motor
filled front engine bay breather
500gph bilge


still to do:
x2 trim on its way
side exhaust outlet
pump cone
bore nozzle
quicksteer plate
bars
turf tray and rails

and countless engine things.

i don't have any pictures of that but it was a lot of work. i sectioned the pump tunnel out of a 650ts and the cut the tunnel and tray floor out of the 300 and glassed it in re foamed the inside then ran carriage bolts through the deck to act as studs for the pump.

you should go for a sxr cut back impeller while your at it.

what drive shaft is that to set the motor back so far?

footholds riveted in side reshaped just need to glass it all in. trim ready to go on. quick steer plate on.

That is going to be interesting with the engine set back that far, I ended up using a 750SXI driveshaft on mine to set the engine forward, you have a serious risk of being way too nose light on that ski, if backflips are what you are going for you are on the right track though.

I understand clearance gets tight running the longer shaft as I have , I built mine for my son and wanted it well balanced and ridable for him, moving the steering forward is probably the best thing you could do on that ski, mine is moved forward about three inches.
