1991 Yamaha Superjet

I recently picked up a 1991 Superjet, and plan on rebuilding it prior to Spring. It presently has a running 650 cc engine and I am planning on putting a 701 cc engine in. I also plan on rebuilding the pump and intermediate shaft. Also in the plans, to make the pump more efficient by plugging the stock bilge exit in the pump, which only the first generation machine had. It definitely needs a new paint job.

Hi StandupGuy23, I live in Davis. I see you are from Livermore. I used to ride with Sam Peterson and Jason Ward from that part of the bay, when we used to race.

Re: 1991 Yamaha Superjet

Going to spend the day cleaning, prepping, and painting the 61x engine components. The hull and handlepole are at Daves at Streamline Designs. It's going to be painted retro Yamaha. Blue with the traditional strobe stripe. He has done this paint job in red, black, green and yellow. A friend of mine has the yellow strobe Superjet.
