Re: VX fuel economy

While I dont have any hard numbers (havent been able to ride since October), I can say that the fuel economy on a VX is very good. I know, that doesnt help much. If I remember correctly, cruising RPM is around 5000-5500.

Re: VX fuel economy

I know i'm getting around 7 mpg on my FX, so the VX should be close or a bit better.

Re: VX fuel economy

The 2006 brochure shows the VX with 7.3 gal/hr at WOT vs the closest competitor being 11.4 gal/hr. 2007 is the same eng and hull. I think the values they give are the avg. fuel usage they saw when testing those models not the values for WOT. These # go along w/ the economy I have been seeing even for the short time I have had mine and they are about what I expected.

Re: VX fuel economy

I never ever believe that the VX has same as bad average fuel (4,9 gph) consumtion as my old GP1200!!!
I rather think they mean WOT with those numbers.

The VX average fuel consumtion numbers that I have been told so far are all in the range between 2 and 2,5 gph.
