Re: St Johns River

Hey Ron...The St. Marys River is 76 miles long, and goes in every direction on the compass..! It is a deep river, and in the spring, it will frow in and out at about 4-6 MPH..Up at the swamp end,(head-waters) there are Gators to be found, but have never heard of an attack on a human....Have lived on the river for about 20 years, and may have seen 8-10 gators...My family swims and boats in the river with no real concern....It is a pristine river, and there is no industry along its banks..only homes and developments....Where there is noise and boats there will be no gators...The only problem is refueling...After you leave St. Marys and head up river, will be at least 20 miles before you can get fuel...and then about the same for the next place to get fuel...You can ride for hours and never see another boat..! Water is almost always mirror-calm, and a little cool even in the dead of summer..! Also, is about 20 ft. deep...come and enjoy, you will return, I can promise you that..!
