Rough Water Goggles

I have Bombers and strap goggles but now I want a pair that is not tinted and covers a larger area.
I like the new Oakley water goggles but have not tried them.
I need something that doesnt fog, drains, padded, doesnt limit peripheral vision, clear, etc

Whats recommended and what is not?

Re: Rough Water Goggles

I haven't used oakley's water goggles, but judging by their snow goggles, I say go for it.

Re: Rough Water Goggles

they may be fine for sitdowns but they didn't last very long on a standup. it only took a few rides to almost destroy them. I had them strapped to the helmet so they didn't get lost. I landed in a wave and the lens popped out. no biggie but for the hassle of replacing parts I just tough it out now.

Re: Rough Water Goggles

i've pulled a triple lindy over my bars and my oakleys survived just fine. They did fly off my helmet though, but i bought some Goggle Grips (which I recommend). Another race I got hit, flew off my boat, goggles still ok and still attached to my helmet (thanks to goggle grips!) lol I have the O Frame MX goggles if that makes any difference.

Re: Rough Water Goggles

Get Seaspecs--they are awesome and won't go anywhere!! www.seaspecs.com and you'll have them w/in a few days from when you order. I got 3 pairs within 3 days of ordering them online. They don't fog up, no water in them, and again, they stay on your head, and they look good too...ehhh, just my opinion though.

Re: Rough Water Goggles

I am now using the Oakley H2O Carbon Fiber and they have passed all tests.
Less than $40 from Oakley direct.

Have also tried the Oakley H2O goggles a few years back. What I did was cut out a flat/thin piece of rubber to match the shape of the upper vents of the goggles. Sealed it up using contact cement. This lessens the drips that goes to your eyes. No problem with fogging as the lower vents can still compensate.
